The Richest Man In Babylon

The classic book The Richest Man in Babylon was written in 1926 by George S. Clason. In the book, he recounts stories of ancient Babylon and the lessons that transformed the city in the wealthiest city in the world. The book contains valuable life lessons and provides the minimum every person should understand about money and the creation of wealth, and really should be required reading at an early age. While the lessons are old indeed, they remain true today as a prescription that can be followed for success.

My son requested a revision from the Old English, which distracted him from the lessons, to Modern English, and this revision is the result. The book is still written in somewhat disjointed fashion that is repetitive at times, uses the ancient names uncommon today, and has too many quotation marks arguably often used incorrectly, because I kept the original nature of the separate writings.

I truly believe that these simply rules of finance, investing, and success through hard work should be taught to everybody. Note they are simple, but not always easy to follow. Yet, success will come to those that are disciplined enough to appreciate their value.
